Student Registration Information

Registration Overview

Here at May ISD, we welcome new students and their families! If you are new to our area and need to register for school, simply visit our district office. We will be happy to help you fill out the necessary paperwork for registration. When you come, please be sure to bring the following documents with you:

1. Your child’s birth certificate
2. Your child’s immunization records
3. Proof of residency (in the form of a utility bill)
4. Any records from your child’s previous school

If you would like to tour our campus, please let our staff know, and we’ll be happy to show you around. We know you’ll fall in love with our small class sizes and our nurturing environment.

Student Transfer Requests for the 2018-2019 School Year

Acceptable Transfer Criteria

A student may be approved for a transfer to a District campus outside the student’s designated attendance zone based on the following reasons: 

1. A full-time District employee may request a transfer for their child in grades K-12.
2. The student wishes to take a course for high school credit that is not offered at their assigned school.
3. The ARD committee of a special education student seeks placement due to educational need.
4. An out of district student meets attendance, discipline, and grade requirements.

Transfer applications for the 2018-2019 school year will be accepted from May 1, 2018 through May 15, 2018.
